In all cases of full crew management, our client airline and the employee base would be able to benefit from AeroProfessional’s specialist, comprehensive and proven aviation HR employee management services, honed specifically for the purpose of managing airline flight crew. AeroProfessional would be able to assume responsibility for all ongoing onsite employee management and detailed HR/employment law guidance, which could include:

  • Creation and issuance of an employee handbook; detailing company policies and procedures in line with both applicable aviation regulatory guidelines and best practice but also the airlines operational manuals (OM-A/B) and standard operating procedures.
  • Handling of real-time performance issues; investigations, disciplinary, grievance.
  • Performance management, training and development; in conjunction with the airlines operational department heads, managing on board performance (through our extensive experience of training on-board performance standards), annual/bi-annual appraisals, development/improvement planning.
  • Processing annual leave requests; receiving, approving and communicating the roster planning teams (based on pre-set/agreed leave slot ratios).
  • Managing and minimising absence; recording, monitoring, analysing and reporting, welfare meetings, employee incentive and disincentive strategies, aviation specific occupational health evaluations.
  • Employee engagement and information/consultation (I&C); creating of workers forums/councils, critical communications, interface between employees-HR-Operations, access to dedicated phone/email enquiry channels with response KPI of 48 hours (including emergency 24hr phone line).
  • Statutory matters; maternity/paternity, flexible working requests.
  • Union/industrial relations; handling union recognition process, creation of collective bargaining agreements (CBA), annual negotiations under a CBA, ongoing regional and workplace representative relations.
  • Health, safety & emergency; monitoring and managing employers health and safety obligations in conjunction with the airline HSE team and union safety representative, being a part of the emergency response unit (employee care team)
  • Airport IDs; managing the application, issuance, renewal, return of employee ID’s (airline and airport issued), managing relationships with the airport authority, acting as signatory for airport ID’s, managing third party costs.
  • Drugs and alcohol testing; random checks conducted in order to ensure ongoing employee compliance.
  • Uniform issue and return; new starter requirements, leavers item collection and return
  • Crew room facilities; support procurement and upkeep of any infrastructure and facilities needed within the crew room (crew refreshments, equipment, consumables, etc).
