Job Description

This is a permanent position with one of our well-established clients who deal with high-level and confidential operations, based in Dorset.

As a CAMO Safety Manager, you are responsible to the Accountable Manager for ensuring effective Continuing Airworthiness Management in support of all the Company’s EASA Part M Approval.

You will be responsible for the following but not limited to;

Providing effective leadership and support to the CAMO Teams.
Management and oversight of all EASA Part M responsibilities and activities.
Champion a shared safety vision and culture for all stakeholders, encouraging active participation in continuous improvement, creating positive safety outcomes.
Safety First – Promote and embrace the Health & Safety Standards within the Company.
Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and customers, as well as relevant Regulatory Authorities.

Ensure the serviceability of operational and emergency equipment by:

The accomplishment of pre-flight inspections, where applicable.
The rectification of any defect and damage affecting safe operation, taking into account, the minimum equipment list (MEL).
The accomplishment of all maintenance, in accordance with the aircraft maintenance programme;
The accomplishment of any applicable AD, SB, etc…
The accomplishment of modifications and repairs.
Maintenance check flights, when required.
Development and management of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes.
Long- and Short-Term Maintenance Planning, including Production Planning.
Maintaining the Hangar Input Plan in support of the Part 145 AMO. Development of CAMO Processes and Procedures.
Routine auditing of the ERP System to ensure system accuracy.
Performance of Airworthiness Review Certificates (ARC).
Reporting to the CAA any identified condition of an aircraft or component which endangers flight safety.

Role Requirements

  • Formal Engineering Qualification – Aircraft Mechanic / Part 66 Licence Engineer / Equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of Civil Aviation Regulations – EASA, FAA, etc…
  • Relevant experience working within a Continuing Airworthiness environment.
  • Acceptable to the UK CAA to act as the Nominated Postholders for Pt M (EASA Form 4)
  • Excellent management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills – Ability to interface and effectively influence and negotiate with internal and external customers at all levels.
