Job Description

We are pleased to be working with one of our Cargo clients for the appointment of a Director of Safety Management. Our client operate a fleet of all cargo Boeing cargo aircraft from a major European hub, they are specialists in the cargo and logistics field and have experienced remarkable turnover with the current demand for cargo operations.

This role will offer a permanent employment as well as fantastic benefits such as travel allowance (company car), relocation allowance and more.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementaiton and maintenance of the airline management system which duties will incldue but are not limited to:

Construct and develop an effective aviation accident prevention and flight safety management system, applying and improving responses, proactive and prognostic methods of flight safety data collection in compliance with requirements of EASA regulation (EU) 965/2012, ORO.GEN.200 and national aviation requirements

Organise the development of an effective management system in compliance with law and international aviation standards

Allocate authorities and responsibility within the airline

Record and improve the companies processes and organizational structure of management

Organise internal audit systems

Construct and develop a compliance monitoring and flight safety management system

Verify, by monitoring activity in the fields of flight operations, crew training, maintenance and ground operations, that the standards required by the Authority, and any additional requirements defined by the company, are being carried out under the supervision of the relevant Nominated Post-holder

Role Requirements

  • Fluent in German
  • Fluent in English
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of the regulation of the EU and associated authorities
  • Right to live and work in the EU

There will be a 3 stage interview process with various levels of management within our cleint.

Most interviews are likely to be done via video but this will be TBC as per the COVID 19 restrictions at the time of interview.
