Job Description

We are pleased to representing our client in Caerphilly, South Wales, with their search for a Power Plant Manager.
Our Client is an award-winning Sunday Times Fast Track 200 Company as one of the UK's fastest growing exporters. Working within a small team , the Power Plant Manager is primarily responsible for supporting acquisitions of Aircraft/Engines through engine value assessment and by providing engine purchase negotiation support/sale/remarketing advice.

Although office based, occasional travel for liaison with airlines, external suppliers and customers is required and accordingly the role requires good communication skills and ability to maintain key relationships, have a current valid passport and driving licence.

The ideal candidate will be an aviation professional with previous relevant experience working within a Commercial or Technical Powerplant position within an airline, MRO or leasing company.

Training will be provided as required.

Role Requirements

  • Possess a detailed understanding of engineering principles and disciplines, including all aspects within the engine life cycle.
  • Possess a high appreciation of market influences and the current status of all aspects within the aviation market.
  • Educated to a degree level in a relevant subject or have industry experience
  • Strong Excel / IT Skills, familiar with the manipulation of spreadsheets and use of appropriate software such as MS Word and Adobe XPro..
  • Ability and confidence to represent our client and its client base in key commercial negotiations.
  • Ability to travel at short notice
  • Right to work and live in the UK.
  • Willingness to maintain and further develop an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the aviation industry, including technical knowledge, industry awareness and commercial awareness
  • Willingness to relocate to South Wales
