Job Description

We are recruiting for the position of Training Standards Captain SME (part-time) for our Client L3 Harris.

L3Harris Training Systems play a key role on delivering the L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions mantra of ‘Creating Safer Skies’. From their computer based solutions all the way to their state-of-the-art Full Flight Simulators (FFS), improving the training experiencing and creating safer skies is at the heart of everything they do. Their Fixed Training Devices (FTD) and FFS feature aircraft-specific flight decks, offering the form, fit, feel, and function of the actual aircraft.

The Training Standards Captain SME will provide technical expertise & development support to the training standards team. Ensuring all (employed and contracted) instructors and examiners are delivering training in line with the regulatory requirements and L3Harris standards.
In addition, the Training Standards Captain SME will support the Head of Training to ensure all instructor and examiner delivery meets regulatory requirements and that content development keeps ahead of all regulatory changes.

Role Requirements

• Right to live and work in the UK
• Hold or have held an EASA / UKCAA issued Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence
• Hold a current SFI authorization or TRI rating on A320 or B737
• Hold a current SFE authorization or TRE rating on A320 or B737
• Hold a current SE authorization (Preferable not essential)
• Proven track record of effectively supporting or managing airline training standards teams
• Good understanding of regulatory structures pertinent to the regulation of civil aviation
