Women In Aviation International (WAI)
About WAI
Women in Aviation International was founded in 1990, becoming fully established in 1994. WAI are dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of women in all aviation career fields and interests. Our diverse membership includes astronauts to corporate pilots and air traffic controllers to journalists.
WAI provide year-round resources to assist women in aviation and to encourage young women to consider aviation as a career. WAI also offers educational outreach programs to educators, aviation industry members, and young people nationally and internationally.
AeroProfessional and WAI
We are delighted to support individual employees as members of the WAI. One of our employees also supports the running of the WAI UK chapter, helping with the database management and communications to chapter members. With critical issue of the pilot shortage, it is more important than ever to fuel the talent pipeline and as such, encourage more women into aviation. We are delighted to support this movement both in the UK and internationally, to see an increased gender balance across the whole of the industry.
