Royal Air Maroc, the national carrier of Morocco, initiated an ambitious fleet expansion programme to enhance operational capacity and network growth. A key element of this strategy was the recruitment of more than 70 B737 First Officers to support flight operations and maintain schedule reliability. The Situation…
Royal Air Maroc faced the operational challenge of delivering a large scale B737 First Officer recruitment campaign, requiring structured identification, screening and detailed flight deck assessments. The objective was to secure qualified First Officers with the technical proficiency, Type Rating experience and operational capability to support fleet expansion while maintaining the standards expected of a national flag carrier.

AeroProfessional implemented a multi-faceted approach to address Royal Air Maroc’s B737 First Officer recruitment requirements:
Recruitment Campaign Management:
Launching a targeted flight deck recruitment campaign to attract qualified B737 First Officers. This included leveraging its established global pilot network and aviation recruitment expertise to generate a strong pipeline of Type Rated candidates.
Candidate Screening and Assessment:
Screening hundreds of applications to ensure only suitably qualified First Officers progressed. More than 200 candidates completed a structured interview and flight deck assessment programme designed to evaluate technical proficiency, decision making capability and alignment with Royal Air Maroc’s operational standards.
Contracting and Crew Support:
Delivering a comprehensive crew contracting solution, including contract pilot engagement, payroll administration and ongoing contractor support. This enabled a seamless deployment of newly recruited B737 First Officers while allowing Royal Air Maroc to maintain operational focus during fleet expansion.

After just over 12 months, the B737 First Officer recruitment campaign delivered measurable results:

The targeted flight deck recruitment campaign generated hundreds of applications from qualified B737 First Officers, strengthening the pilot talent pipeline.
Over 200 Candidates Assessed:
More than 200 candidates completed structured interviews and technical flight deck assessments to ensure alignment with Royal Air Maroc’s operational standards.
80+ Successful First Officers Deployed:
Over 80 B737 First Officers were engaged under long term contracts and successfully integrated into Royal Air Maroc’s flight operations, directly supporting fleet expansion and schedule reliability.
The partnership enabled Royal Air Maroc to scale its B737 flight crew capacity efficiently through specialist aviation recruitment and crew contracting support. By combining large scale pilot sourcing, structured assessment and contract deployment, the airline accelerated its growth programme while maintaining operational continuity.
