Application Process
Initial Application
Once you have reviewed the wealth of information provided to you which has hopefully supported your decision to pursue a role with ANA Group through Air Japan, we welcome you to apply to us. You can apply by simply completing the relevant online form above. It is important to ensure you meet the minimum criteria outlined in the role advert before applying. Upon receipt of your application, our team will review your documentation to assess your suitability and if suitable, a call will be arranged between you and our Senior Recruiter to discuss your application further. The purpose of the call is to ensure that you meet the minimum criteria required by Air Japan but also to ensure that the role is aligned to your expectations. Of course, there will be an opportunity to answer any questions you may have about the role or process. You will then be sent a detailed brochure summarising the role info for you to review and make a final decision if this is an opportunity you wish to pursue. Your final application will need to include: I.Completed application form II.ELP certificate – ELP 5+ III.Valid ICAO ATPL IV. Valid ICAO jet aircraft Command Type-Rating V.Valid class 1 medical VI.Logbook – Last 6 double pages VII.Valid passport VIII. Medical history form
Assessment
Upon submission of your application to Air Japan, you will then be invited to an assessment pending a further review of your documentation by them. The assessment will take place in Tokyo, Japan and will consist of a simulator assessment (B767), interview, psychological assessment and medical check. You will be required to book your HOTAC & Flight. Air Japan will reimburse the cost of the ticket to you (restrictions apply & prior approval required). AeroProfessional will provide you with all study and guidance material, including simulator profiles, so you can prepare in advance for the assessment. You must bring all application documentation with you to your assessment day include original copies of your licence, medical and logbook. A local AeroProfessional representative will be available throughout your time in Tokyo to support you and assist in coordinating with local staff members. You will be advised throughout the assessment if you have successfully passed to the next stage. You will also undergo a medical check & psychological assessment by an Aero medical examiner as part of your assessment. Upon completion of your assessment, a final review of your application will be made by Air Japan, and you should receive the final outcome within 1-3 months after screening. Upon being informed you have been successful; you will be issued a contract with an assigned start date.
Offer & Acceptance
Upon accepting the role with ANA Group through Air Japan, you must start planning your renewals to ensure all documentation remains valid during training: •ATPL, Jet Type-Rating, Command IR and Class 1 medical must be valid for more than 6 months from start date •Passport must be valid for at least 15 months from your start date You will also be required to obtain a work visa and Certificate of Eligibility in order to reside in Japan during training. AeroProfessional and Air Japan will support successful candidates throughout this process. The JCAB requires all pilots to apply for a Japanese ATPL which will require you to complete an Aeronautical experience form including copies of their logbooks.
